Childrens Football Training Camp Starts in Islampur after 25 Years

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 11th June, 2017: After a long gap of 25 years a football training camp for the young upcoming footballers started at Islampur. The camp started at the local school ground under the mentoring of Islampur Sub Divisional Sports Association. In this camp, the training is given basically to the boys two groups i.e. under 14 and under 17 years of age. Presently, 33 boys are participating in the camp, however, 67 registrations were made till date. The secretary of SDSA of Islampur Mr. Sankar Kundu talked to TNI and said “After a long gap such a camp is being organized. The secretary of SDSA of Islampur Mr. Sankar Kundu talked to TNI and said “After a long gap such a camp is being organized. The camp will be functional every week on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The camp starts from 6 am and continues upto 8 am during the concerned days. The training is given by the ex-footballer of Islampur town Mr. Subhendu Ghosh and Mr. Ram Ghosh.” He also said that the members of the association have personally contributed for the camp as there are no funds available from the Government in this regard. On the other hand, the children are very much enthusiastic about the camp. This camp will be beneficial to the upcoming young footballers from Islampur, Chopra, Sonapur and other nearby places.
